Intelligent Security & Fire supply and install a wide range of fire shutters and fire curtains designed to compartmentalise a building during a fire, slowing the spread of smoke and flames. We offer shutters with 1‑hour, 2‑hour and 4‑hour fire resistance ratings, each engineered for reliable automatic closure when triggered.

Fire shutters can be activated in two ways:

  • Thermal fusible link release – When the local temperature reaches 68°C, the fusible link releases and the shutter descends in a controlled manner. This system also includes a manual test and reset facility for routine checks.
  • Integration with the building’s fire alarm system – Fire shutters and fire curtains can be connected directly to the building’s fire alarm. When the alarm activates, the shutter or curtain closes automatically under controlled descent to contain smoke and fire.
